Holidaze Synop(hic!)sis!

Is Christmas season the season to be jolly-olly with beer?! Ive noticed that ever since our family party on the 23rd, San Miguel has been my bestfriend and constant daily companion. Dec 23, family party at our house, get drunk with cousins and friends. Dec 24, family party at my grandmas house in Makati, get drunk with cousins. Dec 25, family party with my moms side of the family in Quezon City, drunk with cousins and uncles and aunts. Dec 26, Mario Kart marathon at my house with my friends and some cousins, drunk as a duck. Dec 27, yesterday.. thought it would've given me a break from beer but i ended up being picked up by friends and once more getting drunk at this bar near Alabang, in the Filinvest district. I did buy coffee with a friend in starbucks before heading to his house, but that gave me like, 5 mins of sobriety tops. We ended up getting stoned in his house as the grand finale of the night...Tonight seems like its safe to say I wont be drinking. I'll save my strenth for New Years Eve now.. What can i say?! Cant get enough of that sweet tasting stuff! hehe.

I forgot to say, Mario Kart rocks!

Oh, I just remembered something from Christmas day.. I was outside watching my unlce's and aunts drinking and having fun. The way they did have fun was, hmm.. original?! It was like a videoke game. 3 groups of people: my aunts. my unlces, and my gay uncle and his gay friends. They would all sing along with some random picked song from the videoke thing, and they would create a pot of money and actually raise the stakes when the song they would sing shows on the screen. Twas a blast actually hearing them all react when my gay uncle and his gay friends won one song and started celebrating. I could hear my aunts cheering and protesting, my uncles laughing and screaming "They won?" "No, GAY won!" hahahahaha!! It also culminated in my being invited by my two uncles, one of which was a chum of my dad ever since his high school days at La Salle Greenhills, to smoke pot with them. I obliged and shared a short joint with them. Not bad.. it was a great Christmas, save for the beer being San Mig light instead of San Mig Strong Ice. Maybe New Year will be better. 2K4.. Only a few days left!

To the new year ahead! Music + Life!

Quickies:

I guess you could say that this was long overdue.. but i've been very busy lately helping around the house for our family party on the 23rd.

Ok, down to business. First off, thanks to Vic for another great lemery trip! The night rocked! The beer bong knocked us all out though. Also, thanks to Prim and Audrey for our one day stay at Punta Fuego. Also thanks for the beers, and mostly, thanks Audrey for cooking for us chaps while we were still in Lemery. Happy one month too!

Happy Holidays guys and gals! Music + Life!

My pick's on Football Team of the Year:

KEEPER:
Gianluigi Buffon - Juventus F.C.
Voted MVP of UEFA Champions League 2002/2003. One of the biggest factors of Juventus' great run during last seasons Champions League campaign. Buffon is young, aggressive and talented, which kills any doubt on why he is the highest paid keeper in the world. Juventus has a shiny gem in Buffon. The skies the limit for this great keeper!

LEFT BACK:
Roberto Carlos - Real Madrid C.F.
Heralded as one of the best defenders since the 90's, Carlos continues to show grit and excelence, par none, in the left back position. A great attacker with his left foot, and a solid defender. He has won numerous achievements and titles with Real Madrid. Age doesnt stop this brazilian superstar from performing at his usual high class.

CENTER BACKS:
Paolo Maldini - A.C. Milan
17 years of playing hasn't slowed down the captain of Milan. A man with much accolades, achievements and titles won during his stay with AC Milan, since joining the club January 1985. A constant solid contributor for the Italian national team.

Alessandro Nesta - A.C. Milan
Regarded as one of the best defenders in europe, Nesta has the unique mix of being extremely mobile, yet powerful. Has a great sense in positional defense, yet displays elegance as he plays. Pivotal part of Milan's run in becoming winners of the last Champions League run.

Notable Mention: Ivan Helguera - Real Madrid C.F.

RIGHT BACK:
Paulo Ferreira - F.C. Porto
I was supposed to give this position to Lilian Thuram of Juventus, but i wanted to add a fresh, young talent to this team I'm drawing up. Ferreira is a young budding talent, as was displayed in Porto's win of the UEFA cup last March. Now also showing his skills for the Portugese national squad, EURO 2004 will be a classic! The future looks bright for Ferreira!

LEFT MIDFIELD:
Pavel Nedved - Juventus F.C.

Need i say more about this Czech Rep star?! He was, for my part, the best reason on how Juventus had a great run in the Champions League. He was, to me, the best player during the 2002/2003 Champions League. Great passing skills, vision, and a powerful shot. Im now a big fan of his!

Notable Mention: Damian Duff - Chelsea F.C.

CENTER MIDFIELD:
David Beckham - Real Madrid C.F.

Simply put, the most famous footballer in the world. Which to me, undermines his skills. His great vision of the pitch is what made him, to me, the best passer in the game today. He posseses one of the most accurate freekicks, and crosses from the right wing. Captain of England's national squad, Becks is unselfish, and always working for the good of the team. His great career with Manchester United has come to an end, but his career with his new team, Real Madrid C.F., has only just begun!

ATTACKING MIDFIELD:
Zinedine Zidane - Real Madrid C.F.

The ultimate midfield player! A wizard on the pitch with his skills with the ball. Voted FIFA player of the year, 1998 & 2000 with Juventus, and 2003 with Real Madrid C.F. This french international is trully a joy to watch. A great mix of class and skill.

RIGHT MIDFIELD:
Deco - F.C. Porto
Brilliant! Thats how i describe Deco's performance for Porto during the UEFA Cup 2002/2003 campaign! He definately has the skills and know how to have a long brilliant career!

Notable Mention: Ryan Gigs - Manchester United

FORWARDS:
Ronaldo - Real Madrid C.F.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Another Real Madrid player. But how can you not favor Ronaldo!? He's the reason for Brazil's win in the 2002 World Cup, winning the golden boot to, pun not intended, boot. He's Madrid's leading goal scorer. And as Roberto Carlos put it: "he's like fine wine getting better with age."

Ruud Van Nistelrooij - Manchester United
Van the man!! Man U's go to guy! This Dutch international is young, aggressive with the ball, and has a great scoring sense! He has scored 58 goals in 62 appearances with Man U. Thats almost a goal a game average! He's still young, and I'm sure he will go on to break more scoring records. He was also voted best forward during the UEFA Champions League 2002/2003.

Notable Mentions: Raul - Real Madrid C.F.; Andriy Shevchenko - A.C. Milan

~Well, thats my take on the players compromising my picks of "Team of the Year". I know some wont agree. But hey, make your own team then! =)

Spunge - Second Rate
[A duet w/ Laila Khan of Grimace]

I love the way
You never stop your frowning
But if I saw you drowning
I wouldn't waste my time to rescue you

I love the way
You eat soup with your fingers
The way your odour lingers
For hours after you have left the room

Love the way that even though we fight
We know that it'll be all right
I know why we get on so great
We're second rate

Love the way
You never give up trying
But when you're old and dying
I won't be the one to care for you

I love the way
You live life on the sofa
You're as lively as a coma
I should've told you long ago we're through

Love the way that even though we fight
We know that it'll be all right
I know why we get on so great
We're second rate

We're OK
Oh, you really think so?
To be honest I just don't know
But we put up with it anyway.

This is currently one of the songs i keep playing. Its Ska. Really catchy! Its the type of song that, when you listen to it a few times, you cant help but sing the lyrics. Perfect for that road trip going to the beach! Oh well, I'm going to the beach this friday anyway. So its a perfect time to play the song..Ü

Sweet, Sweet Cheeba!

Growin my home grown! Smokin a big bowl! See that ganja covered in oil! Just filled a zigzag! I emptied the whole bag! Made a new pipe out of aluminum foil! Don't know the reason! I stayed here all season! Maybe that Bagiuo stick was a way bit too strong! But i got a real beauty! Some Sagada doobie! And soon i'll be high and mawy wawy-ing along! I blew out my bong pipe! And run out of San Mig light! But i found a stash i had hidden at home! You put it into a blender! And soon it will render! Those little fudge brownies that help me get stoned! Wasting away again in Marijuanaville! Searching for my roach clip on a rope! Some people claim that there's a woman to blame! But i know, it's all this damn dope! Yes and, the government claims that it will fry our brain! But i know, I think we all just like smoking dope!

Hehehe found this "song/poem" on the net.. sounds kinda like an Eminem song right!? Funny, yet true.. anyway, keep it real. =)

Candycanes and Mistletoe's

Well, well, well.. The smell of yuletide and goodwill towards fellow men has now enveloped the landscape. Sweet hams, Puto, Bibingka, and the rest of the holiday delicacies is wafting around.. The season of thanksgiving and pure enjoyment and happiness has now kicked into high gear! Early morning mass, or Simbang Gabi, now starts tom at exactly 4am. I dont think i'll be completing it though.. i never got to do that for awhile now. Anywho, things are locking down to perfection so far. Where the next few days take us, we dont know. Lets all just hope that the cool, christmas chill brings us joy, and the smile only xmas can bring to us & all our loved ones. I for one have a smile as early as now on my face..=)
Happy Holidays!
May Santa bring us all our favorite wishes come Christmas morning..
Merry MUSIC and a joyous LIFE to all! =)

Its going to be a MERRY Christmas after all...Ü Happy holidays to all!!!Ü

For No Reason

From my mind to the depths of my soul
i yearn to achieve all my goals
and all the free time will be spent
on the ones i miss i will lament
i am not a perfectionist
but still i seek perfection
i am not a great romantic
but yet i yearn for affection
eternally my mind will produce
ways to put my talents to use
and when im done
no matter where ive been
ill yearn to do it all again...

To Her..

What of a love unspoken? is it weaker without a name?
does this love deserve 2 exist without a title
because i dare not share its name
does that make me cruel and cold
2 deny the world of my salvation
because i choose to let it grow
people tend 2 choke
that which they do not understand
why should'nt i be weary
and withhold this love for a woman
what of a love unspoken
no one ever knows
but this is a love that lasts
and in secrecy grows.

For Kate..

Its amazing how a lady could
Have an amazing perspective of days ahead
Every life that comes across her she would
Touch them in special ways we may never comprehend
In the end as we look back on the life we led
We stop and realize we were blessed with a God send
An angel so pure wings she does not need
Her heart made up not of the purest of gold
But by the ordonnance of the most beautiful of gems beating
In unison as her personality leaves an imprinting
Smile in our lives that we shall carry even as we grow old
Only time can tell where our lives will lead
But this angel will always be cherished, truth be said.

I wrote this for a very dear friend of mine. i just found out recently that she's been very sickly the past few weeks. she doesnt even want me to know whats wrong with her. i have faith though that she'll push through and beat whatever's ailing her. she's one of the kindest and sweetest persons ive ever come across. w/c is no surprise on how she became one of my closest and dearest friends that i truly treasure. i wish nothing but health and happiness for her. she'll always be in my prayers from now on... God speed Katie!

Somethings been bugging me lately.. Ive had this routine of praying every night before i sleep ever since i was like, i dunno, 5? But the past few weeks see me praying like twice to three times only before i sleep. It really ticks me off coz it was one habit i was hoping to never break. It was something that when i become 50+, i could look back and say, "hey, ive been doing this ever since a kid", and not be embarassed to say so.. Well, i guess its waaaay back to square one. This time Im gonna try and go for a longer streak..=)

Have a great week ahead people!

Do NICE guys finish last?!

Saturday night was a great opportunity for me since it was my grandma's bday on my mom's side and coz I hardly go north. So after dinner, me and my cousins decided to go and venture around the Tomas Morato area and scout the bars there. We came down to two choices: Xeymaca or Pier 1. Since Xeymaca was overloaded with posseurs, we went to Pier 1 instead. It was a great chance for us to really bond together with that unifying liquid.. BEER! Yep, the beer definately made us louder and more open with each other. I was with my 2 cousins( Sab-18 and Carlos-19) and my bro, Justin who's 17. It was fun seeing all of em gettin drunk to Strong Ice. My cousin actually barfed in the bathroom! Hahaha! We were given 800 bucks to spend to our liking, and it all went to alcohol! Funny thing is, the bathroom in Pier 1 is unisex.. and I was a little inebriated with the beer so I forgot lock the door in the bathroom and before i knew it, some drunk girl goes inside sits on the toilet and begins doing her thing.. I was using the toilet on the wall for guys and when i happened i shouted a "WHOA!" and blissfully said, "dont worry i wont look.." She then recanted by saying sorry but she couldnt hold it in anymore and that she was really drunk.. When she said she was done i began talking to her(I think her name was Jess?) and thanked me for being a sweetie and a really nice, well mannered guy. She said the last time something like that happened to her, some "jerk-off" as she said, kept staring at her like she was a big screen tv. Dumb thing is, I forgot to actually ask her number or anything.. I was stupid. But its ok. I remember her saying that she goes to that Pier 1 almost every other weekend. So hopefully if Im lucky ill see her again.. not in the bathroom again i hope!

Which brings me to something.. I think the reason I really didnt put any effort in knowing her more was because I already have a certain someone in mind.. I know she's a hard one to get.. and i know luck hasnt been on my side lately, so I can only "wait and see what the future will bring" as she said.

Also, am i too much of a nice guy??? Many people keep saying that im sweet, nice, a gentleman and all that.. but is being too much of that a good thing? With Alex, I think I was being too kind and patient with her even though al my friends were telling me to diss her and forget her. But hey, i did like her.. I asked an ex if i was too much of a nice guy and she told me, maybe.. but that it was that aspect of mine that attracted her to me. Soooo... what happens now? I have no idea.. only time can tell.
Anyway, whats life without its surprises right?! Thats what makes life so interesting, the fact that we dont know what it'll bring us. C'est la vie.

Anyway, keep the music playing loud! Life... viewtiful!

Stupid... yeah thats what i am. I got a message in Friendster sometime last week from some "guy" in friendster asking if he could add me up. Being the total kind, dick-wad that i am, i obliged. Well, to my horror it seems everyday there are two or three "guys" messaging me and asking the same fucking thing. All linked to the first schmuck! God damnit! Im fucking sick of it all!!!

There is one thing.. no, make that two things im happy about now. One, the change of weather. The night air is soo cool nowadays and refreshing. Great change from the Gobi desert like heat the past few months. Two, MONDAY!! Yes, i said Monday folks. Why???? Because my dad's going to L.A. this weekend and come Monday, i am due to receive: 2 new gamecube controllers, and 4 new games namely, Fifa 2004, Viewtiful Joe, Mario Kart, and Tiger Woods golf(my dads!)
Yup.. pretty soon im gonna be karting the hours away. And FIFA!! Wooohooo!!! Its gonna be a mad house in my room once again!

Im bored now... i think i'll go play with the Yo-yo my friend Cocoy left in my house. its addicting!!

Here's to the end of the week, and the start of Monday!! Music and Life!!

Viewtiful! Ü
